Job Description

Are you a seasoned leader passionate about Information Security and Data Protection Governance? Do you thrive on shaping strategic direction, leading high-performing teams, and driving compliance across a global organization?

We are seeking a Head of ISP Governance for Corporate & Service Areas (C/ISP-BCS) to lead our dedicated team of governance experts. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing, supporting, and guiding Information Security and Data Protection efforts across central and service departments of the Bosch Group, both in Germany and worldwide. You will report directly to C/ISP and the CDPO, contributing significantly to our global compliance strategy.

Your contribution to something big:

Lead & Empower a Team of Experts: As a direct leader, you will manage, coach, and develop a team of ISP Governance specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will also indirectly guide and support ISP offices and department heads in fulfilling their information security and data protection obligations across the organization.
Drive ISP Governance Strategy: Spearhead the supervision and support of our corporate and service areas, including their respective ISP offices, ensuring robust governance frameworks are in place. This includes active participation in and oversight of ISP audits.
Strategic Advisory to Leadership: Provide critical support to C/ISP in delivering strategic advice to the General Board Meeting (GBM) on information security and data protection matters, influencing key organizational decisions.
Holistic Guidance & Support: Act as the central point of contact for information security and data protection governance, offering pragmatic, solution-oriented, and efficient advice that aligns with legal requirements, internal Bosch ISP regulations, and international standards. Your guidance will reflect a deep understanding of our business objectives and models.
Risk Management & Resolution: Collaborate with internal and external experts to identify, evaluate, and provide recommendations for managing complex information security and data protection risks.
Documentation & Training Excellence: Oversee the creation of essential documentation (e.g., risk evaluations), develop and deliver specific training programs, and meticulously plan and execute ISP audits.
Global Impact & Collaboration: Champion internationality by acting and advising on global issues, fostering close cooperation with local experts and strategic projects across the Bosch Group. Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Proven Leadership & Management: Several years of experience in people and management roles, including directly leading associates and leaders (target and disciplinary), as well as indirectly guiding and supporting ISP functions.
ISP Governance Expertise: Significant experience (several years in responsible positions) in at least one of the core areas: Data Protection, Information Security, or Compliance, with a strong focus on governance.
Relevant Business Sector Acumen: Experience (several years) in at least one of the following supervised and supported areas: IT, Global Services (GS), Human Resources (HR), Corporate Communications (C), Corporate Research (CR), Government Relations (GR). Experience in HR and Corporate is highly preferred.
Educational Background: University degree (Master) in Business Administration, or a comparable field.
Audit & Standards: Experience with international audit standards and methods is preferable.
Language Proficiency: Business fluent in written and spoken English and German. A further language is a plus.
Personality: A strong leader who is assertive, convincing, diplomatic, highly communicative, and team-oriented. You possess a structured, systematic, and consistent working practice.
