About the role We're looking for a talented Head of Technology for one of our clients, a startup in the blockchain and gaming sector that has recently raised over $10M in funding.  You will play a crucial role in shaping the technological direction of this rapidly evolving gaming and blockchain startup. You will be responsible for ensuring that their technological resources meet both their short and long-term needs, setting the vision for the technical strategy, and leading a team of developers to implement this vision. This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer  and offers the flexibility of remote work. Responsibilities Ensure the company’s technological resources satisfy short and long-term needs. Verify all technological practices adhere to regulatory standards and compliance. Conduct reviews of IT products or systems to evaluate their potential value to us. Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality, efficiency, and security. Build quality assurance and data protection processes. Track, analyze and monitor security, KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance. Develop technical aspects of the client's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals. Present reports on client´s technological status, goals, and progress. Identify and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage. Onboard and work with tech partners and integrations. Manage a team of developers, develop and implement targets through agile methodology, ensuring cost and time efficiency and monitoring overall team performance. Help other departments use technology effectively. Requirements Confident full-stack engineer with a proven track record of working in a start-up environment leading teams. Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc. Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Excellent hands-on technical ability including Solidity, C#, C++, PHP, and Java. Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications. Proven ability to manage feature teams, Agile Lead / SCRUM Master Lead. Excellent organizational, problem-solving abilities, outstanding leadership, organizational and communication skills. Understanding of Blockchain, Cryptocurrency. Experience in the online gaming industry would be a plus.
