We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our Air Mobility Solutions (AMS) team at Thales in Portugal Responsibilites: Develop high-quality, maintainable, and secure Java applications (Java 11 & 17) that meet business and stakeholder requirements Design scalable and efficient software architectures, ensuring compliance with coding standards, security, and data protection regulations Write, execute, and maintain unit tests; troubleshoot and resolve bugs; optimize performance and scalability Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and manage technical debt to ensure long-term software quality Create and maintain clear technical documentation and stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices Requirements: Degree in Engineering Experience in software development and software engineering Knowledge of JAVA (mandatory)Knowledge of Spring Boot (must have)Written and Oral proficiency in English The Group invests more than €4 billion per year in Research & Development in key areas, particularly for critical environments, such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum and cloud technologies.
