Experis, a global leader in talent management solutions, is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Accountant.

Job Summary

As a Senior Accountant the responsibility is to maintain the financial integrity of the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and experience in handling advanced accounting tasks. The Senior Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting
• Manage complex account reconciliations and financial close processes
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
• Contribute to budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Propose the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
• Oversee cash management and treasury functions
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Collaborate with other departments on financial matters

Academic Background

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s degree preferred
• Portuguese certified accountant

Other Skills

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced financial modelling skills
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English essential (mandatory)
