I'm partnering with a clinical-stage biotech company focused on rare diseases, with active Phase I & II programs in Europe. I am on the look out for a Senior Medical Director to join on a 12-month consultancy basis, with a clear transition path to a permanent leadership role.

This role offers the chance to shape early clinical development strategy, influence global trial design, and work cross-functionally with regulatory, clinical operations, and translational science teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the clinical and medical strategy for early-phase trials (Ph I/II)
• Provide expert input on trial design, protocol development, and study oversight
• Act as the medical point of contact with regulators, KOLs, and CRO partners
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across development, regulatory, and commercial teams
• Transition into a full-time leadership role after consultancy phase

Qualifications:

• MD (Medical Degree) required
• 10+ years of industry experience in biotech or pharma, with strong clinical development focus
• Demonstrated experience in early-phase (Ph I/II) clinical trials
• Rare disease experience highly preferred (Autoimmune/immunologic diseases)
• Fluent in English and Portuguese (required)
• Previous experience in a fast-paced or start-up biotech setting is a strong advantage
