We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Installation, Field Service Engineer to join our team supporting Rapiscan’s advanced X-ray and Trace product lines at Lisbon airport. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of our screening systems.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, and provide ongoing service support for Rapiscan X-ray systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on-site, adhering to technical procedures and standards.
Respond to all callouts and work within a shift pattern to ensure continuous customer support.
Complete service documentation accurately and promptly, including service and non-conformance reports.
Maintain traceability of spare parts and contribute to accurate stock management.
Act as the on-site representative of Rapiscan, building strong, trust-based relationships with customers.
Collaborate with IT Specialists and PLC Engineers to learn server setup and system integration.
Ensure systems are consistently accurate, optimized, and compliant with operational standards.
Participate in departmental projects and ad-hoc duties as required.

Flexible and adaptable during times of change; able to respond to project adjustments efficiently.
Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
Ability to obtain airport security passes (some may require a Criminal Record check).
Knowledge, Training & Qualifications
Engineering Electrical Diploma (or equivalent).
Good English language skills: spoken, written, and communication.
General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems is desirable.
