Job Description:
We are seeking an ambitious Controller to become a vital part of our controllership team. Ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of employees and management.
What are you going to do:
- Manage and oversee the accounting daily operations including:
- monthly and annual closing for the parent company.
- collaborating with the external bookkeeping advisors to ensure that financial records are kept accurate and up to date
- billing process.
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- payroll
- capital assets reconciliations
- bank account statement reconciliations,
- fixed asset activity
- debt activity
- Tax forms (VAT, income tax, corporate tax, Social Security, etc).
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Manage and oversee legal and fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Manage and oversee compliance and administration, specifically customer, partnerships, supplier agreements etc. Collaborate with third parties when required.
- To provide ad-hoc support to the Chief Financial Officer
Who are you?:
- Fluent in English is a must, working with a global team, so the more languages, the better! Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in audit (Big 4) and/or controllership jobs ideally for high growth startups.
- Experience with accounting software like Net Suite is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Economics.
