Site Name: Lisbon Posted Date: Aug 1 2022 The position of Business Insights & Analytics Manager is responsible for bridging the gap between data and business, assuring a correct translation of business needs to analytics / data support and translating analytics results into actionable business insights facilitating the decision-making process based on data across the organization. The position of Business Insights & Analytics Manager will have in scope providing primary support to the Commercial teams and working in a consultative role with Senior Sales Management, to make informed decisions in a data driven organization. The role requires working with internal constituencies, such as sales and other analytics teams, as well as external agencies, and it will be 80% dedicated to GSK Pharma and 20% to ViiV. Key Responsibilities Support internal stakeholders: Work closely with marketing and sales and actively participate in annual business plan proactively identifying growth opportunities and analysis; Work closely with marketing and sales to measure and evaluate marketing return on investment (ROI) of various promotional programs; Work closely with finance, forecasting and sales in financial planning processes; Work closely with Sales Force Incentive team on process and deployment; Consult with business leaders and their teams to challenge current processes by asking the right questions. Be a data SMEs to help expedite analytics problem solving; Act as an analytics translator for the business, liaising between the business and the data science team. Analytics, Analysis & Reporting: Lead the development of architecture, implementation, and roll-out strategy for advance self-service capabilities against an evolving data lake platform, as well, as internal dashboards and reports; Ensure that solutions produce insights that the business can interpret and execute on, and, ultimately, communicates the benefits of these insights to business users to drive ongoing adoption within the business. Ensure the end-to-end execution and delivery of the data solutions / initiatives (Scalable solutions): Construct native SQL queries (T-SQL, SSIS) and store procedures to preload data into staging areas; Analyze market and product trends, performance, ensuring that there is a thorough understanding of the disease area, distribution channels, customers, and competitors; Proactively analyze metrics and interpret several cause-effect relations. Being able to bring several indicators into context and built scenarios or create working hypothesis that have strategic value and are actionable; Optimize local data reporting and analytics to deliver value, by developing or producing performance dashboards, reporting decks; Identify business problems or opportunities that could benefit from advanced analytic insights that could optimize outcomes or assist the business in capitalizing on new opportunities. Lead Insights: Responsible for providing insights and tools to both GSK Pharmaceuticals and ViiV Healthcare Companies; Leverage industry knowledge to develop consultative analytics for internal stakeholders to aim at reducing costs and meeting corporate financial targets. Deliver primary and secondary research from multiple sources distilling key insights to provide an aligned and consistent view of the market. Create and deploy customized CRM surveys to customers to better understand consumption habits and enable the development of successful cross-platform strategies; Responsible for annual negotiation and contracting services with suppliers; Values and Governance: Compliance Management, maintain documentation in SharePoint and internal platforms, company-wide document retention database; Adheres to governance policies and ensure alignment with legal, pharmacovigilance and compliance. Execute all duties with honesty, integrity, transparency and with compliance to all relevant internal and external codes of conduct and business practices; Complexity Agile adoption to change within a complex matrix organization; Play an active role in understanding and collaborating with the Data & Analytics team within the company to implement projects that are needs in the market, or source for solutions within other markets; Ability to combine large data sets and summarize findings; Ability to set and follow processes and procedures with a high level of attention to detail but flex these processes and procedures when the market or situation changes or allows it; Project management capabilities to stay on top of detail, simultaneous deliverables and anticipate and propose solutions to potential roadblocks to keep activities on track; Specialized Knowledge: Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills; Problem-solving; Project Management; Proven experience in operational cross functional teams; Strong analytical skills and data processing & administration; Attributes Growth mindset; Highly organized with attention to detail; Personally accountable & proactive; Capable of setting priorities and fast adaptation; Ability to work both individually and in teams; Have a structured approach to decision making; Desire and ability to learn new skills and technology quickly. Requirements: Education Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Market Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or related field is required; MBA Preferred; Language Portuguese and English: High Level Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in same or similar roles; Experience working in a wide range of disciplines namely: market research, forecasting, analytics; Experience working in a matrix environment, implementing new processes and frameworks; Mastery in MS Office (namely Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Azure); Mastery in SPSS or similar; Proficiency of SQL; Knowledge on primary market research and syndicated market research methodologies within pharmaceutical industry.
