You will join the Central Functions Tax and Treasury team, reporting to the Senior Manager Tax. You will take responsibility for the submission of VAT returns, Intrastat and other Indirect Tax returns across several jurisdictions.
The Tax Analyst will have close collaboration with the Senior Manager Indirect Taxes at our HQ in Switzerland.
As part of the Tax & Treasury team the Tax Analyst role will provide support and act as first point of contact on Indirect Tax matters to other colleagues based in our Lisbon Center of Excellence.
This position is a great opportunity to work in an international environment, covering a wide scope of Indirect Tax matters: compliance, tax laws, systems, process design, audit support, etc.
Your day at Ferring
Manage Indirect Tax reporting in several countries (VAT returns, Intrastat, ECSL, EPL, etc.)
Monitor changes in the reporting requirements and recommend improvements.
Support the Indirect Tax Manager on projects such as new reporting requirements, new taxes, process improvements.
Perform data analysis and validation.
Act as a first point of contact for Indirect Taxes to your Finance colleagues.
Support ITX improvement opportunities.

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
2-3 years of experience in accounting (mandatory) or tax (strong plus).
A solid understanding of Financial Accounting, and good reconciliation skills.
Familiarity with the use of IT accounting programs (SAP is a plus) and strong in excel (mandatory).
Interested in personal development and learning.
Ability to independently search for tax information is also required.
Experience in dealing with taxes is a plus.
ability to analyze financial data, identify potential tax issues, and develop solutions.
strong and effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
attention to detail is a must.
As a tax analyst, you will be handling sensitive financial information. You should have a strong sense of ethics and be committed to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Fluency in English, German optional.
