Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Financial Controllerto join our Finance team based in Lisbon.
The role will work closely with both the local Finance team in Portugal and the group Finance team at the company's headquarters in Madrid, reporting directly to the COO.
The Finance team is responsible for all Incus companies, Incus credit funds and Incus equity funds.
We are seeking a hardworking candidate with integrity, analytical rigor, strategic thinking, communication skills and an awareness of economic trends.
Responsibilities Define, implement, and oversee effective controls and procedures to ensure the integrity and efficiency of all accounting and financial processes.
Monitor and assess the financial performance of the Portuguese entities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Maintain and track the annual budget for the Portuguese entities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Deliver monthly reporting on liquidity levels and cash flow performance across all Portuguese entities.
Review monthly accounting, tax, and administrative records to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and corporate standards.
Assist the Finance Director with the operational oversight and review of the team's deliverables, ensuring that all financial reports are prepared accurately and on time.
Assist the team during the external audit of the Portuguese entities.
Prepare financial and regulatory information required by local authorities (CMVM and Bd P – Banco de Portugal).
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
Minimum 7 years of work experience in similar roles.
Understanding of financial reporting and consolidation processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Full proficiency in English.
