What you will do
Amgen is building the next generation of global Commercial Data & Analytics (D&A) capabilities, and we are looking for a technically strong Principal Technical Business Analyst to accelerate this transformation across regions including Europe, Latin America, Canada and Asia.
You will provide technical leadership across six product teams, ensuring cohesive delivery of Commercial Data & Analytics technical solutions. While you won't be coding, you will own the technical direction, solution definition, and end-to-end implementation of complex data products in a fast-moving global ecosystem.
You will partner closely with Senior Managers of technical teams, Commercial leaders, and global vendors to translate business needs into scalable, cloud-native data and analytics solutions. Amgen leverages a modern technology stack including AWS, Databricks, Airflow, Git Lab, and Informatica.
You will:
Lead the technical execution of Commercial D&A across six product teams, ensuring architectural and design alignment.
Translate complex Commercial needs into clear epics, user stories, and technical specifications.
Drive end-to-end delivery of global data products — including Sales, Engagement, Integration, and Analytics solutions.
Shape how new datasets, pipelines, models, and dashboards are architected and integrated across regions.
Act as the primary D&A partner for senior stakeholders in ELMAC and JAPAC markets, as well as global vendors and partners.
Support or lead Agile Release Train (ART) activities while promoting SAFe, Dev Ops, CI/CD, and modern delivery practices.
Promote & Partner with Advanced Analytics teams to scale AI/ML capabilities and introduce emerging data technologies.
Build a strong D&A presence in the regions, mentoring junior analysts and supporting future team growth.

What we expect of you
You are a technical leader at heart — someone who understands data deeply, connects the dots across systems and business needs, and thrives in complex global environments.
Master's degree with 9–10 years of experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or pharmaceutical organizations.
Proven experience as a senior Technical Lead or Business Systems Analyst with a focus on Commercial/Sales data, multichannel ecosystems, and analytics workflows.
Strong technical grounding in Databricks, cloud-based ETL tools, AWS or similar platforms, Big Data, Data Lake architectures, and data integration technologies.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
Experience working in SAFe / Agile environments; SAFe certification preferred.
