Position Overview We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller – Portugal to join our Finance team and support the company's financial operations in Portugal.
This role will help ensure the integrity of financial data, compliance with local and corporate requirements, and the smooth execution of day-to-day accounting activities.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in an international environment, contributing to the overall effectiveness and reliability of the company's finance function.
Responsibilities Responsible for the accounting of the Portuguese entity, including the registration of supplier invoices, issuance of client invoices, bank reconciliations, and financing entries.
Monitor issued and received invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Process monthly invoice payments in accordance with internal procedures and timelines.
Perform intercompany balance reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy across entities.
Prepare monthly information required by external accountants to generate the monthly closing of the different entities.
Assist the team during the external audit of the Portuguese entities.
Support the preparation of regulatory reporting information required by local authorities (CMVM and Bd P – Banco de Portugal).
Assist the Corporate team in administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in similar roles.
Understanding of financial reporting and consolidation processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Full proficiency in English.
