Position Overview

We are looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join our team. You will be a shaper of the design and architecture of the core platform, and work closely with the founding team to deliver value to our clients.

As an early-stage startup, we pride ourselves on our ability to roll up our sleeves and build from scratch. We will be shipping code frequently and learning as we go while satisfying all critical security, performance, and uptime requirements for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize database performance, scalability, and availability
• Manage Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Networking to support high-performance workloads
• Implement Incident Response & Reliability Engineering best practices to maintain uptime and mitigate risks
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure operations.
• Use Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar tools to manage infrastructure efficiently
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment
• Leverage Cloud Run and other serverless technologies to enhance performance and scalability
• Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), Service Accounts, and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) for secure cloud operations

Qualifications

• Effective and self-driven builder
• Proven track record (5+ years) building and owning a complete end-to-end technology stack (Backend, CI/CD, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting)
• 3+ years of hand-on Python experience in production environments
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration, including Helm or Kustomize integration for Argo CD.
• Familiarity with Terraform
• Skilled in designing and implementing customer-facing REST APIs and asynchronous architectures (e.g. queues, pub/sub, lambdas, webhooks)
• Strong expertise in relational database modeling, using Postgre SQL in production
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Well-versed in Dev Ops best practices, such as Dev Ops, and CI/CD
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
• Work authorization in Portugal
