The Role
As the Destination Manager - Services, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our offerings by contracting land services, including tourist attractions, guides, coaches, restaurants, and more. This position gives you full ownership of the commercial relationships with our partners, ensuring that G2 Travel delivers the most competitive and appealing options for our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and creativity, driving excellence and innovation in our Portugal destination services.
Key Activities:
- Secure exclusive and competitive rates and conditions with service providers through negotiations and management of supplier relations.
- Be the expert in your assigned region, having in-depth knowledge and understanding of your destination.
- Ensure efficient and effective communication with sales leaders and management worldwide. Provide regular feedback and promote any new ideas, opportunities and identify potential issues.
- Analyse and evaluate data and provide recommendations to stakeholders based on the market evaluations. Promote the destination to all stakeholders.
- Ensure sales and operational teams are well informed of any events, incidents, which may prevent the smooth running of their tours.
- Own the destination products and review the quotes in order to ensure correct and clear itineraries are built. Suggest alternatives whenever necessary.
- Master the usage of internal tools: processes and procedures, database, markets requirements. Ensure contracting deadlines are reached according to business requirements.
- Undertake, as requested, other tasks or projects and complete within the given time frame.
- Assist other Data teams ‘members as and when workload dictates.
- Leading training and coaching initiatives as required and supporting with ad-hoc projects. Represent G2 at Trade Shows and other events as required, travel is a must.

- Services partners: coach companies, guides, tourist attractions, restaurants, etc
- Board of Directors, Global Contracts Service Manager
- Internal client: Reservation Team, Finance Team, Sales and Operations Teams
The Requirements
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of an organisation including local partners.
- Past experience/working knowledge of contracting land services in the Travel/Hospitality industry.
- Strong commercial skills with a working knowledge of group and FIT handling.
- Driven to succeed with a professional ‘can do’ attitude and work ethic.
- Able to work to deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with robust verbal and written English.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Good Working knowledge of MS Office
