Our client
, an international and diversified group with operations across multiple sectors, is currently recruiting a
Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
to join its Finance Department in Lisbon.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of all accounting and tax obligations across the Group's companies, including the preparation of individual and consolidated accounts. The position involves close collaboration with the Finance Director, providing analytical insights and supporting continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes.

About the role:

Ensure the preparation and timely submission of all tax documentation and fiscal obligations.
Monitor legislative and regulatory updates impacting the Group's various entities.
Manage the full accounting close process for multiple companies within the Group.
Prepare both individual and consolidated financial statements.
Produce and present financial reports to the Finance Director, including optimization recommendations.
Prepare information for external auditors, financial institutions, and other legally required entities.
Support general accounting and statutory compliance functions as part of the Certified Accountant responsibilities.

What we are looking for:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting and taxation.
Solid knowledge of Portuguese tax legislation, SNC standards, and regulations applicable to SGPS structures.
Proficiency with accounting software such as
Primavera
,
SAGE
, or similar systems.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy when handling sensitive information.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills, with the ability to work across diverse business contexts.

Valued experience:

Background in similar multi-entity or group structures.
Knowledge of payroll processes.
Familiarity with sectors such as
Agriculture, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Fitness, or Distribution
.
