AWS Database Administrator:
For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced AWS Database Administrator for a long contract based in Porto, Portugal
Its paying well and my client can interview asap!
Key Responsibilities/Functional Skills:
- Database Administration experience on supporting mission critical environments on AWS technologies:
· AWS RDS and Aurora Postgre SQL and My SQL · Redshift
- Key requirements are:
· Installation and configuration
· Performance & tuning
· Query optimization
· Workload management
- Will be considered a plus the knowledge of the following AWS services: - S3 - IAM - Lambda - Cloud Watch.
- The successful candidate must be available to work on shifts (the team covers 10h shift, - 5 days a week) and being on call (approx. one week per month).
- Upper intermediate level (B2) of written and spoken English is a must.
- As part of the Team, the new resource will be responsible to support at 360° database layer of several services on different technologies, participate into international projects and have a chance to influence current and future technology choices.
Must Have:
Master's degree in information technology / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Engineering or has an equivalent working experience.
Strong persuading and influencing skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision.
The ability to liaise with different levels of staff within the organization. ·
Good team player.
Must be motivated to progress in the role.
Self-starter with the ability to plan and manage work according to deadlines
Pragmatic approach.
Willingness to share experience / knowledge.
Good to have: Certification in AWS, Azure or relevant technologies.
