Your opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal.
In line with company procedures, the Test Engineer plays a key role in the final stage of production by conducting tests to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and conveyors. This includes verifying the performance of PLCs, sensors, motors, electrical components, and overall machine functionality and conformity with customer requirements.
Our Santa Maria da Feira site in Portugal is one of our main production centers, emplying more than 220 passionated people. It specializes in the manufacture of conveyors and packaging equipment, thus contributing to our mission of providing high-quality solutions to our customers all over the world. This site is equipped with the latest technologies and offers a stimulating working environment.
Your Mission Your mission is to perform functional testing on complex equipment and conveyor systems, carry out software and electrical debugging, and configure and parameterize machines according to the required specifications. You will conduct safety tests to ensure all equipment complies with relevant standards, read and interpret electrical diagrams, and verify full machine conformity prior to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).
Your Profile Masters degree in Engineering
Experience with PLC software such as TIA Portal
Knowledge of VFDs, including Danfoss, SEW, and Siemens
Strong ability to read and interpret Electrical Diagrams
Knowledge of industrial networks and NAT routers
Knowledge of industrial Communication Protocols, including Profinet, Profibus, and TCP/IP
Understanding of basic safety principles in PLC programming and safety-related functions
Commitment to following company safety standards and values
Proficient in spoken and written English
