✨We are seeking a Teach Lead Data Engineer professional willing to accept new challenges in our Closer team in a hybrid model (2x) in Porto.

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer Tech Lead to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will lead a team of data engineers, collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities Design & Development: Architect and implement scalable batch & real-time data pipelines using Spark, Airflow, and GCP services (Big Query, Dataproc, Composer, etc.).

Data Infrastructure: Manage Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses , ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.

Cloud & Dev Ops: Deploy and maintain infrastructure as code ( Terraform ), CI/CD pipelines ( Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket ), and cloud-based data solutions.

Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices in data engineering and Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum).

Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and BI teams to enable data-driven decision-making (experience with Power BI is a plus).

Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processes for performance and reliability.

Technical Skills & Qualifications Must-Have:3-9 years of experience in Big Data, ETL pipelines, and cloud-based data solutions.

Strong expertise in GCP (Big Query, Dataproc, GCS, Composer, GKE).

Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala and Spark (batch & streaming).

Experience with Airflow, Terraform, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git).

Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and distributed systems.

Background in Computer Engineering or related fields.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum).

Fluent English (C1 level).

Nice-to-Have: Experience with Azure cloud services.

Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI) and data visualization.

Basic understanding of Machine Learning/AI concepts.

French proficiency (a plus).
