Job Description
Within the Engineering Product Quality (EPQ) – EPM2-ES Support for Heat Pump Development, this role contributes to the mission of the Business Unit Electric Solutions (HC-ES), aligned with the Bosch motto "Invented for life" . HC-ES is committed to reducing CO₂ emissions through energy-efficient solutions for heating, cooling, domestic hot water, and ventilation, while expanding a sustainable Electric Solutions portfolio.
The main objective of the project is to support ongoing Engineering Product Quality (EPQ) activities throughout the heat pump development lifecycle, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality products. This includes supporting project milestones through FMEA moderation, reliability methods, and test planning, as well as contributing to serial quality support. The role focuses on delivering products on time, on specification, and with high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support preventive quality activities within heat pump development projects;
Actively support development teams for air-to-water heat pumps;
Coordinate samples and prepare testing activities across development phases;
Support laboratory activities, including shipment of samples, test rig setup, and test preparation;
Derive reliability requirements based on load profiles and use cases;
Assemble test setups, create reliability and validation test plans, execute tests, and document results;
Actively participate in the creation, review, and improvement of reliability test procedures;
Support field monitoring and participate in quality problem-solving activities (e.g. 8 D methodology);
Present and communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to development teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education
Master's or Ph D degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering, or a similar field.
Technical Skills
Solid knowledge of mechanical construction, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and refrigeration systems;
Knowledge of statistical methods, component design, reliability testing, and materials science and testing;
Experience with product development projects in an engineering environment is valued;
Background in refrigeration applications is considered a strong advantage;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point);
Experience with laboratory IT tools such as MATLAB and Lab VIEW is valued.
Personal Skills
Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
Results-oriented and proactive attitude with strong critical thinking;
Strong problem-solving mindset;
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and cross-functional environment.
