We are seeking a Software Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge real-time communication software for our Client’s life-saving platform. This role involves designing and implementing high-performance Vo IP services and streaming architectures to ensure seamless emergency support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop core RTC components across client and server levels, creating scalable infrastructures for real-time communication in emergency services
- Work in multi-platform environments integrating mobile clients, Vo IP/Streaming servers, command systems, and emergency devices
- Contribute to diverse RTC open-source projects, including Web RTC (APIs and internals), Streaming, and media frameworks like GStreamer and FFmpeg
- Optimize bandwidth estimation, and implement video/audio codecs such as VP8/9, H.264/5, SVC, Opus, and AAC
Requirements
- Willingness to relocate to Lisbon
- BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years of experience in a Saa S company as a Backend Engineer
- Knowledge and/or interest in Real-Time Communication software development (Audio/Video/Web RTC/Streaming)
- Fluent in English
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS
